Job Description

Our client, a well-established industrial manufacturer in the Fergus area, is currently seeking a licensed Industrial Electrician to join their maintenance team on a continental rotating shift.

This is a long-term opportunity offering strong compensation, excellent benefits, pension contributions, and consistent overtime availability within a unionized manufacturing environment.

Location: Fergus, ON

Pay: $42.93/hr Starting Wage + Premiums + OT

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment and production machinery
  • Diagnosing electrical breakdowns involving motors, drives, heaters, controls, and instrumentation
  • Working with PLCs, drive systems, and automated equipment
  • Completing preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Updating maintenance records and work orders within a computerized maintenance system
  • Supporting continuous operation of manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • Valid 309A or 442A Electrician license
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
  • Experience working in an industrial/manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs considered an asset
  • Familiarity with AC/DC drives and control systems
  • Comfortable using maintenance software and diagnostic tools
  • Strong commitment to safety and preventative maintenance practices

Shift Details

  • Continental rotating schedule (days and nights)
  • 12-hour shifts
  • Every second weekend off
  • Significant overtime opportunities available
  • Shift premiums averaging approximately $10,000 additional annual earnings
